Transition Updates

10/12/17 - The Transition Team received a diverse pool of ten potential candidates for St. Mark's Rectorship, all of which have strong potential. The next step will include a thorough review of the profiles of all ten candidates and narrowing the pool down to those we wish to personally interview.

10/24/17 - The Transition Team thoroughly reviewed all ten candidates and narrowed them down to five. The remaining candidates will now be interviewed personally in the next several weeks.

12/17/17 - The Wardens, Vestry, and Transition Team are happy to announce that the Rev. John A. Marshall has accepted the call to become the next rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. “Fr. Jack” is from the Buffalo area and has recently served as the part-time rector of St. Michael and All Angels Church in Buffalo, as well as the Director of Spiritual Care at Niagara Hospice. He will begin his ministry as full-time rector at St. Mark’s on January 15, 2018.

Prayer in Thanksgiving for the Call of a New Rector:

Heavenly Father, we give thanks and praise to you for answering the prayers of the St. Mark’s family and for sending us the Rev. John A. Marshall to lead us as our new rector and shepherd, that we may do your will, not only within the walls of St. Mark’s, but out into the community, to be known as a loving and caring church where all are welcome. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen
