Position Description:

PT/Outreach Coordinator

Outreach Coordinator

All employees are directly answerable to the Rector.  The Outreach Coordinator works closely with the Executive Assistant and the Communication Coordinator, Volunteer staff , committee chairs and the community.

Job Overview

The Outreach Coordinator ensures the smooth flow of Outreach Ministries within the parish staff, the members of the congregation, our partners in ministry and the community at large.   This includes partnering with other faith communities and organizations and the Chamber of Commerce.

Responsibilities and Duties

´ Oversee all Outreach activities

´ Provide and support communication efforts to all

´ Develop, maintain and share the Outreach Activities with the Key Parish Calendar in coordination with the Executive Assistant

´ Work outside of the Church to identify needs and potential partnerships and activities

´ Coordinate St. Mark’s Outreach Committee

´ Focus on results and impact, providing follow through and feed back to the staff, committee and parish

´  Develop and maintain program templates

´  Coordinate volunteers, task  descriptions and goals

Qualifications

´  A BA/BS in Volunteer Services skills or related (preferred)

´  Experience working with Not for Profits and or Faith Community Communications is helpful

´  Must be familiar with; Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Website creation and management, Desktop publishing skills (Power Point & Publisher)

´  You must be a self-starter who can work collaboratively with staff, membership, volunteers and community leaders, task oriented

´  Some limited travel may be required

´  Association with all ages within the congregation

Position Description:

PT/ Communication Coordinator

Communication Coordinator

All employees are directly answerable to the Rector.  The Communication Coordinator works closely with the Administrative Assistant and the Outreach Coordinator, volunteer staff and committee chairs and the community.

Job Overview

The Communication Coordinator ensures the smooth flow of communications with in the parish staff, the members of the congregation, our partners in ministry and the community at large.   This includes social media, the web site, streaming church services, the Thursday Blast and semi-monthly newsletter.

Responsibilities and Duties

´ Direct photography and video of worship and media productions

´ Develop and implement video streaming of the Sunday services

´ Responsible for technical components; sound, lights and video

´ Develop, maintain and deliver a comprehensive training program for volunteer staff, providing team with knowledge and experience necessary to operate our equipment

´ Develop and produce video sources for internal and external ministry and outreach

´ Provide and support communication efforts to all

´ Serve as Webmaster and social medial lead, responsible for design up-date, content and attractive appearance throughout.

´ Shall ensure collaboration with Outreach and all other departments of the parish structure

´ Ensure that accurate information is on social media & web

´ Promote up-coming events on social media/print media; posting parish resources; sermons, postings etc.

´ Facilitate podcasts and conversations on social media

´ Develop web content, using best practices and creative ideas, making weekly up-dates

´ Create ‘highlight’ videos; weddings, baptisms and special events during the year as appropriate

´ Oversee technical needs; trouble shooting computers, network, copiers, phones A/V and IT serves
