 Music at St. Mark's

St. Mark’s currently has a Senior Choir and a Children’s Choir.

The Senior Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.and Sunday mornings before church. During the Summer (mid-June through Labor Day) we practice only on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The Senior choir welcomes all who love to sing from age 15 and older.

The Children’s Group consists of children up to age 9. They practice at the end of their Church School time, with song leader Bob Dowrey on guitar. They sing three or four times a year for special occasions. We are currently looking to expand our children’s program to have a group for ages 10-14.

We also do a series of Something Different services once a month on Sunday evenings at 7:00. We  alternate between Praise and Worship and Taize services. Taize, French in origin, is a service of centering prayers and meditation along with soft songs of contemplation.

St. Mark's is blessed with many musically talented people who are willing to share their talents of playing the flute, guitar, trumpet, piano, organ, saxophone to enhance the musical offerings raised to the glory of God.
